RWCC 2018 Volunteer of the Year Award

Johnna Roberts was presented the 2018 Sue Cobb Volunteer of the Year award. Johnna is a woman who has made herself indispensible to both the RWCC and the Coffee County Republican Club. She currently wears several hats for our Republican Women’s group and serves as Secretary for the Coffee County group’s Executive Committee.

Over the past year, she worked many, many hours at Republican headquarters covering it numerous times when no one else was available regardless of the shifts she had already signed up for. In fact, she volunteers for ANY job that needs to be done. She has manned our booth at downtown fairs, gave of both her time and baking talents for charity sales to benefit the community, and logged MANY hours sorting, hanging and then delivering critically needed jackets and blankets to victims of Hurricane Michael in the Florida Panhandle. Additionally, she worked at the distribution center in Port St. Joe and showed everyone she came into contact with that the Republican Women of Coffee County CARE. She worked with Annie’s Outreach to serve and deliver Christmas dinner to shut ins.

She stepped up to serve a second term as our president when Shawn Young had to resign. She continues to produce our award winning newsletter, keeps us all on track with our deadlines and goals and moving forward.

NFRW 2017 Awards

RWCC received the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) Caring for America Award for a Large Club. The award was based on our donation of trauma kits to Enterprise and Coffee County Law Enforcement officers.  This was a joint project with the Coffee County Republican Committee to show law enforcement that they have our full support.  Five more kits were given to both the EPD and Sheriff's Department in December.

RWCC was one of three Alabama clubs that received the NFRW Diamond award in recognition of outstanding achievement.

RWCC also won the AFRW's Caring for America award for the trauma kit project; Outstanding Publication Relations award; and Outstanding Newsletter award.
